Zone Foto is an educational platform for communication on visual arts and photography. With a rich understanding and extensive experience in the international photography and journalism field, Zone Foto founders Jian Gao and Jin Ding are dedicated to creating a platform connecting the East and the West, customizing its educational functions for the local Chinese market.
Zone Foto works in but is not limited to the following fields: photography workshops and master classes with world-renowned photographers from leading photography agencies like VII and Magnum; an “On-the-Road” program including travel plans for international photo-shoots designed by photo editors from international media; professional development opportunities including support for pitching and award applications. Zone Foto’s international partners include VII Photo Agency, photographers from Magnum Photos and National Geographic, and more.

2013年至2017年期间，旅居美国纽约市的高健在玛格南图片社（Magnum Photos）担数码部图片编辑 , 他也任职于美国新闻集团旗下的纽约邮报和英国每日邮报，负责突发新闻项目图片编辑工作。2012年底，他从旧金山辗转到纽约市在国际摄影中心(International Center of Photography/ICP)担任助教。
高健屡次获得国际机构和奖项的肯定，斩获国际摄影奖项，展览及接受国际访谈50多次。他是美国海外新闻俱乐部基金会奖金获得者、普利策危机报道中心奖金获得者, 并曾获露西基金会专业组提名、意大利卡尔托纳国际摄影节奖金提名、荷赛大师班提名, 他也是艾迪亚当斯工作坊XXVI全球前100摄影师。他的摄影作品曾发表在美国《国家地理》、 PDN、《传播艺术》、AI-AP30、L’oeil de la photographie 等多家媒体。他的作品在英国贝尔法斯特摄影节、牛津、威尔士巡展，美国纽约、旧金山、费城、洛杉矶、西班牙马拉加等多地摄影节和博物馆展出并收藏。
2016年夏天，应美国Shutterbug摄影杂志邀请，高健与普利策摄影奖得主Deanne Fitzmaurice,、VII 图片社摄影师艾德·卡什Ed Kashi、荣恩·哈维Ron Haviv等人就“纪实新闻类摄影师如何经营自身”一题接受联合采访。
2017 年，高健回到中国，致力于将国际上扎实的摄影资源——包括多家媒体编辑，玛格南图片社、VII 图片社摄影师资源——引入本土，为渴望得到全球认可的摄影师及机构提供平台与支持。他坚信，以自身的经验和资源可以帮助填补国内视觉专业度的空白。
Jian Gao spent 2013 to 2017 in New York City working for Magnum Photos as digital editor. On the side, he was Photo Assignment Editor for New York Post and Photo Editor at the New York photo desk for the Daily Mail. After Gao moved from San Fransisco to New York in 2012, he first worked at International Center of Photography as teaching assistant.
As an award-winning photographer, Gao received Roy Rowan scholarship from the Overseas Press Club Foundation and reporting grant from the Pulitzer Center. He was nominated among 142 young photographers for the Joop Swart Masterclass in 2014. Gao was on the shortlists of The Royal Photographic Society and APA/Lucie Foundation Scholarship. Gao was selected for Eddie Adams Workshop XXVI, an annual gathering of the world’s top 100 emerging photojournalists and fine art photographers.
Gao published on National Geographic, PDN, Communication Arts, Al-AP30, and L’oeil de la photographie. Among many exhibitions that Gao anticipated, his photos were part of the 3rd International Biennial of Documentary and Fine Art Photography, ONWARD Compé ’14 in Philadelphia, and The Royal Photographic Society – International Print Exhibition in London. He was also interviewed by dozens of English and Chinese outlets.
Jian Gao returned to China in 2017. He’s dedicated to introducing international photography resource, including editorial resource from dozens of media outlets, photographers from the Magnum Photos, photographers from VII Photo Agency, to the Chinese audience. He would like to provide a platform and support local photographers and organizations that desire international recognition. Gao believes his experience and resource can help fulfilling the blank in the visual professional area.
丁进 Jin Ding

Jin Ding joined the Pulitzer Center team in 2014. In her first two years, she managed reporting projects, events, and office operations, giving her extensive experience in collaborating with journalists and editors across mainstream English media, including The New York Times, the Washington Post, Financial Times, National Geographic, The Atlantic, and The New Yorker magazine. For the past two years, Ding has managed the Pulitzer Center’s marketing desk. She promotes more than 150 international reporting projects and over 500 educational and public events each year, supporting thousands of Pulitzer Center grantees. Among those not only Pulitzer Prize and Emmy-winning journalists, but also recent graduates and emerging journalists.
Before joining the Pulitzer Center, Ding worked for NBC Sports as a research and marketing solution analyst in New York City. She now resides in Washington, D.C.
卫雅鸥 Ya-Ou Wei
2013至2015年卫雅鸥就职于中国新闻社担任摄影记者。此前赴香港《文汇报》特派实习，深入一线参与采访并发表多篇作品。也曾在《香港大公网》、《财新传媒》海内外一线媒体任职。 卫雅鸥的作品发表于多家国内知名门户网站； 以及《欧洲时报》、《侨报》等华文媒体；也不乏美联社、路透社、《每日邮报》等境外主流传媒平台。她作为特约编辑曾参与出版在海内外发行的书籍作品，其中包括香港文汇报出版的《中国抗战胜利日大阅兵》等大型历史画册。 她相信影像具有强有力的温度与力量，并试图通过有意义的事情让更多朋友发掘自身独特的艺术潜质。
In 2016, Ya-Ou Wei started joining in an experienced Chinese Virtual Reality team, to explore this innovative field through the combination of traditional photography and the developing technology. She has conducted projects all over China, including the borders between China and Russia, the Pacific, China’s coldest village in the inner-Mongolia, and the Kunlun Mountains, where the altitude is over 6000 meters above sea level.
Between 2013 to 2015, Wei worked as a photojournalist at the China News Service. Before joining in CNS, she interned with Wen Wei Po in Hong Kong, where she conducted interviews and published reportings. She also worked for other leading Chinese media, such as Ta Kung Pao website and Caixin. Wei’s works were published on many websites in Chinese and English: Nouvelles d’Europe, US China Press, Associated Press, Reuters, and Daily Mail. As a contributing editor, she worked on many book projects that have been published in China and overseas, including history photo books as 2015 China Victory Day Parade.
Wei believes in the warmth and the power of visual arts. She intends to help more friends discover their unique artistic potential through meaningful methods.
